Managing HMC

With more than 130 staff members, we treat more than 50,000 patients annually.

Treatment and surgery for poor patients

HMC consists of 12 clinics, 3 operation rooms, an Intensive Care Unit, a recovery room, and 31 patient beds. Echocardiogram, Coronary Angiography, Endoscopy, CT Scan, and other medical equipment are available in our facility. The currently ongoing construction (due to be completed October 2018), will add 60 more patient beds and a hospice unit.

Heart Surgery Center

The Heart Surgery Center, established in 2014, is sponsored by South Korea’s Kookmin Bank. In collaboration with Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, hundreds of local patients have successfully undergone surgeries and procedures in a secure and stable environment. Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, Chungnam National University Hospital, Jeonnam National University Hospital, Korea University Ansan Hospital, Pusan National University Yangsan Hospital, and Sejong Hospital support HMC through annual visits by medical teams of heart surgeons.

Internal Medicine Center

With an endoscopy unit and a washer-disinfector donated by Seoul Asan Hospital, the center has increased its ability to treat patients safely and accurately. The center also initiated a quarterly conference of doctors from local hospitals to evaluate the techniques and equipment.

Support for Patients In Need of Surgery in South Korea

Since 2008, HMC have transferred not only children who were born with congenital heart disease but also patients who require orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, cancer treatment, kidney transplants, and corneal transplants in cooperation with various hospitals in South Korea.
